The Energy and Water Agency, in collaboration with the University of Malta, is excited to announce the second edition of the National Water Conference, scheduled for February 19, 2025, at The Palace Hotel, Sliema, from 9 AM to 4 PM. This year’s theme will focus on non-conventional water resources for water resilience.
The conference will explore how water security and resilience can be optimised through the existing and planned policy frameworks, with a special emphasis on the utilisation of non-convention water resources. Experts will present practical applications of how NCWR forms part of integrated water resources management in different water use scenarios.
This event also aims to bring together local and international speakers from the water sector, to foster discussions and identify opportunities and challenges associated with the use of non-conventional water resources across the various water using sectors. Attendees, including policymakers, water professionals, business representatives, students, and public officers will have the chance to participate in a Q&A after each session.
