European Research & Innovation Days 2020 – 1 week to go!

Wednesday, September 16, 2020

There is only one week to go until the virtual European Research and Innovation Days 2020!

To get ready for the event, we would like to share some more information with you about what you can expect during the three days:

  • From our event’s website, on the days of the event you will have access to the platform consisting of two key areas: the policy conference and the Science is Wonderful! exhibition. Once logged in, you will be able to access both.
  • The policy conference features plenary sessions, which you can follow through live streaming. You can even interact by chatting, asking questions, or participating in live polls. The capacity is unlimited.
  • You also have access to all sessions organised by the 10 thematic hubs including hub sessions, workshops and Horizon Europe co-design sessions.
  • Please note that for workshops and Horizon Europe co-design sessions there are 100 active interaction places given on a “first come, first served basis”. Once they are filled up, you can still follow the session, but will not be able to actively participate (e.g. ask questions, participate in polls).
  • You can network or share your thoughts with other participants. You can even book a meeting with a European Commission policy officer to discuss specific topics regarding Research and Innovation policy and funding.
  • In the game zone, you can win medals by taking part in the different activities on the platform. The winners will be then announced on social media so stay tuned!
  • You can experience science through hands-on experiments and live demonstrations by visiting the Science is Wonderful! exhibition. You can customise your profile’s avatar and take a virtual walk through one of the various research stands.

For now, feel free to follow @EUScienceInnov for the latest news around the event. We have also put together a social media toolkit if you want to share your excitement about the event on your channels.
