OGS - Five Junior Research Fellowships


The National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics - OGS is offering 5 Junior Research Fellowships as part of the "Laboratory on Quantitative Sustainability (TLQS)" project that is a regional hub for sustainability research and coordination.  This is a special project of OGS in collaboration with the Trieste International Foundation for the progress and freedom of sciences – FIT, supported by the Ministero dell'Università e della Ricerca.

Universities and research institutes involved in the Laboratory: Università degli Studi di Trieste, Università degli Studi di Udine, SISSA - Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati, Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and Fondazione Italiana Fegato ONLUS (FIF) .

Fields of Study: Mathematics, Physics, Earth Sciences, Biology, Engineering, Political and Social Sciences, Economics, Law, Humanities.

Research Topics:

  • Marine economy sustainability
  • Food, biodiversity, and planetary health
  • Climate change and the environment
  • Data science for sustainability 
  • Energy transition and industry
  • Social and legal aspects of sustainability
  • Space technologies for habitat protection

Ideal Candidates:

Multidisciplinary skills, quantitative analysis expertise and computational knowledge.
