Classification of projects under the Innovation Fund
The Innovation Fund covers the following project classifications:
- Innovative renewables (e.g., solar, heating and cooling, waterborne, ocean, wind, manufacturing of RES components, etc.)
- Energy-intensive industries (all sectors covered by the EU Emissions Trading System, e.g., steel, non-ferrous, cements and lime, pulp, paper, glass, ceramic, construction materials, hydrogen, refineries, chemicals, etc.)
- Energy storage (including manufacturing of its components)
- Carbon capture, use, and storage
- Net zero mobility (aviation, maritime, road transport) and buildings
Who are we looking for?
If you are:
- a technical expert with in-depth knowledge in one or more of the categories covered by the Innovation Fund (see the above list), with extensive project implementation experience.;
- a GHG expert in greenhouse gas emissions avoidance assessment or product, process, or service Life Cycle Assessment;
- a financial expert in investment banking, project development and/or financial consultancy, with experience in corporate or project finance including due-diligence, bankability, and risk analysis of projects.
- a rapporteur with proficiency level of oral and written English. Preferably already possessing experience in the role of a rapporteur for any EU funding programmes or for other funds.
