 Project

 DEEP BLUE: Developing Education and Employment Partnerships for a Sustainable Blue Growth in the Western Mediterranean Region

 Background

 The DEEP BLUE project aims at developing skills and building capacities throughout enhancing geopolitical dialogue and international scientific cooperation (Science Diplomacy) in the Western Mediterranean Region.

 Partners from Italy, Spain and Tunisia with the support of private and public local stakeholders, will strive to develop education and training paths aiming at creating an advanced shared knowledge and common methodological ground on the key sectors of Blue Economy in the Mediterranean basin while fostering North-South and South-South cooperation among public and private sectors.

 

JOB SHADOWING: MOBILITY PROJECT 2020

 This mobility opportunity aims to increase capacity building for blue career development and foster brain circulation across the Euro- Mediterranean Region offering an innovative training-on-the-job to30 young professionals in the marine and maritime sectors through a job shadowing experience for 3-6 months.

 

By walking through the workday as a shadow of an experienced officer (tutor or supervisor) the objective is to reinforce capacities through first-hand knowledge and good practices sharing. The selected profiles will have a unique opportunity to gain an insight into specific areas related to blue economy sector.

Are you suitable for this experience?

Do you have a professional objective or research project? Are you national of one of the Mediterranean countries*? The Deep Blue mobility program is dedicated to young professionals in the marine and maritime field: young scientists and researchers, post-graduate students, engineers and entry-level high skilled professionals.

 

When and where

Nationals from northern shore to southern shore countries: 3 months – 10 fellowships

Nationals from southern shore to northern shore countries: 6 months – 20 fellowships

 

The candidates coming from one of the northern Mediterranean country are requested to spend their traineeship in one of the countries of the southern Mediterranean and vice-versa. Where: within the Euro-Mediterranean area. Priority is given to 5+5 Dialogue countries**.
