Full-Time Researcher for the MEDSEAPLAN Project

The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology is seeking to recruit a part-time Researcher for the MEDSEAPLAN Project (Data and Scenarios for a Sustainable Mediterranean Blue Economy). The project is funded through the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (1st joint transnational call: “The way forward: a thriving sustainable blue economy for a brighter future”).

The MEDSEAPLAN project focuses on advancing Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) by addressing the need for advanced data aimed at supporting MSP decision-making processes at a Mediterranean level. MEDSEAPLAN aims at developing standard methodologies that support the planning of a sustainable blue economy in the Mediterranean Sea. Activities undertaken will include the testing of innovative data-collection methodologies for MSP needs, as well as the development of foresight MSP scenarios, as a support towards decision-making in the field. The engagement of MSP planners and industry partners will be sought at different stages. The project will also work on different communication/dissemination activities, with a focus on promoting ocean literacy.

The project will run for three years from the official project start date, and the selected candidate will be employed on a definite period on a full-time basis.
