Call for experts and practitioners to find innovative solutions for water scarcity in Southern Europe

Details:

EIT Climate-KIC, EIT Food, EIT Manufacturing, EIT RawMaterials and BioAzul are launching a call for experts to create a task force to work on finding innovative solutions for water scarcity in Southern Europe. 

 

Main problems to tackle:

 

  • mitigating water scarcity and drought situations,
  • reducing the over usage of water,
  • wasting less water with the existing resources

 

In order to have a wide representation of knowledge, EIT are inviting representatives from different sectors, including policy, industry, civil society and research and innovation to participate in the process of creating this task force to support in the knowledge sharing and through innovation across the South of Europe.

PRIMA Internship program 2020-2021

This year 2020 PRIMA launched again one vacancy for the program that allows young people from the South Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey) that are part of PRIMA the possibility of doing internships in the Secretariat of the organization.

CONEX-Plus is a training and mobility program that aims to accelerate the career development of a cohort of Experienced Researchers at UC3M in Spain. CONEX-Plus will offer 30 fellowships of 36 months each, for incoming mobility to UC3M.

 DEEP BLUE: Developing Education and Employment Partnerships for a Sustainable Blue Growth in the Western Mediterranean Region

 Background

 The DEEP BLUE project aims at developing skills and building capacities throughout enhancing geopolitical dialogue and international scientific cooperation (Science Diplomacy) in the Western Mediterranean Region.

 Partners from Italy, Spain and Tunisia with the support of private and public local stakeholders, will strive to develop education and training paths aiming at creating an advanced shared knowledge and common methodological ground on the key sectors of Blue Economy in the Mediterranean basin while fostering North-South and South-South cooperation among public and private sectors.

 

JOB SHADOWING: MOBILITY PROJECT 2020

 This mobility opportunity aims to increase capacity building for blue career development and foster brain circulation across the Euro- Mediterranean Region offering an innovative training-on-the-job to30 young professionals in the marine and maritime sectors through a job shadowing experience for 3-6 months.

 

By walking through the workday as a shadow of an experienced officer (tutor or supervisor) the objective is to reinforce capacities through first-hand knowledge and good practices sharing. The selected profiles will have a unique opportunity to gain an insight into specific areas related to blue economy sector.
