​Applications are open for the second round of MQF L4 and L5 Geomatics courses to commence in May 2020.

Courses will be provided by Epsilon Malta Limited – St Martin's Education Services Limited and will be held at St Martin's Education Services Ltd. premises in Ħamrun.

EIT Food: Masters in Food Systems

The Program “Master in Food Systems” (MFS) is an integrated graduate degree program organized by academic institutions and industrial partners from across EIT Food pan-European partner network. Its goal is to prepare students to drive a future transformation of the food system and increase the competitiveness of their future employing companies. The MFS program promotes a deep knowledge of the food system as an integrated value chain by providing students with the opportunity to study consecutively at three academic institutions which provide distinctly different semester blocks, each one of them focusing on specific areas of the food system. Global Food Venture Programme 2020

Calling All Climate Innovators: Opportunity with EIT's Pioneers into Practice Programme

Pioneers gives people and organisations the opportunity to get out of their comfort zone and look at things differently. By enabling experimentation and innovation to address climate change, the programme offers participants a fresh perspective and a way to be part of a more rapid transformation to a net-zero carbon economy.

Operating across Europe, they create dynamic networks of industry professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs, public administration officials and freelancers, and equip them with practical skills in systems innovation. A space to experiment from May through to November, participants take part in elearning, workshops, group project challenges and a 4-6 week placement.

Covid Wage Supplement

Organisation offering: Malta Enterprise

Details:

  • Full time employees of enterprises operating in sectors that suffered drastically due to the COVID-19 pandemic or had to temporarily suspend operations on the order of the Superintendent of Public Health will be entitled to up to five days’ salary based on a monthly wage of €800. This includes all self-employed. Part-time employees will be eligible up to €500 per month. Annex A contains the list of sectors by NACE.

 

  • Full time employees of enterprises in other adversely affected sectors (Annex B), including wholesale, manufacturing and warehousing will be entitled to one days’ salary per week equivalent to €160 per month. Part-time employees will be eligible to one day’s salary per week, equivalent to €100 per month. In the case of Gozo based enterprises this will increase to two days’ salary per week equivalent to €320 per month for full time employees, and €200 per month for part time employees. Annex B contains the list of sectors by NACE.

 

  • In case of self-employed in other adversely affected sectors (Annex B) who have employees will be entitled to two-days’ salary per week equivalent to €320 per month.

 

  • Self-employed based in Gozo operating in other adversely affected sectors (Annex B) will be entitled to 2 days’ salary per week equivalent to €320 per month. This will increase to 3 days salary, equivalent to €480, for those self-employed who employ staff, and the employees will be entitled to two days’ salary per week
